Description
Stay & Escape are delighted to present this stunning, two-bedroom bohemian London home, curated by renowned interior designer Sera Hersham Loftus. The striking interior is a metamorphosing synthesis of Sera’s own designs and one-of-a-kind reclaimed vintage items. Sera’s star-studded clientele has included Kate Moss, Yoko Ono and Courtney Love, with her deft eye for effortlessly weaving contrasting textiles into a harmonious patchwork. Beautifully thought-out details occupy every nook of this property, drawing the eye deeper into its unfurling mystery and inviting a sense of wonder and curiosity. For the first time, guests are now being invited to stay in this wonderful space and experience Sera’s visionary masterwork for themselves.
From reclaimed flooring from a Dutch houseboat, to an authentic handmade disco ball from legendary 1970s nightclub Studio 54, every item in this house has its own story to tell. The vintage panelled walls whisper with tales of historical glory, whilst striking house plants provide a steady, grounding presence in their proud stances.
Inside, you’ll find a fully-equipped rustic kitchen with a sumptuous gas stove and oven, fridge and freezer. Two amber-hued 1950s parchment lampshades provide a warm embrace of light in this womb-like, intimate space.
Sleeping arrangements are in two salon-style, lounging low double beds, which can be separated with a combination of internal shutters and Sera’s hand-made billowing curtains. Sunlight beams into the rooms through floor-to-ceiling Regency windows, although this can be easily attenuated by curtains and blackout blinds.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a member of the Stay & Escape team for a personal tour of the property. Guests can spoil themselves with our luxury botanical amenities, while the house is equipped with craftily concealed mod-cons such as a Sonos speaker system and Wi-Fi throughout.
Location
A highly sought-after London location, Maida Vale is characterised by proud rows of early nineteenth-century townhouses and lush street-side greenery. Find yourself within a stroll of charming pubs, quirky independent shops and the iconic Little Venice, London’s canal-side water-faring paradise. Travel connections to the rest of town are abundant here, too – the Bakerloo line is just minutes’ walk away from either Warwick Avenue or Maida Vale stations.
