Whilst Stay & Escape has created these guidelines adhering to all recommended advice from both the Government and AirBnB, your cooperation with these changes is also vitally important in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19. At Stay & Escape we take our responsibility to protect your health very seriously. We have implemented the following measures as part of our duty of care:

Cleaning
  • Stay & Escape has extended contracted cleaners time to enable a meticulous deep clean of each property ahead of any stay. Each home will then be thoroughly sanitised through the use of anti-bacterial cleaning products.
  • We are working in line with Airbnb’s official COVID cleaning checklist to ensure each property is sanitised to the highest possible standards, paying attention to frequently touched surfaces such as light switches, door handles, appliances etc (see here).
  • All linen will be professionally cleaned and then sanitised using antibacterial products.
  • In line with official recommendations, Stay & Escape will leave a minimum of 72+ hours between guest stays.
  • All cleaners will be provided with PPE equipment and asked to perform and record a mandatory temperature check before entering the property.
  • The latest research shows that the virus cannot survive well on soft surfaces, i.e. sofa, curtains, rugs etc. However, these will all be thoroughly cleaned and the 72 hours between each stay will help to minimise any risk (see here).
Social Distancing
  • Stay & Escape is currently taking provisional bookings from 4th July onwards when it is hoped the Government will green-light a proposed ‘phase three’ strategy allowing the reopening of hospitality which includes accommodation. This is very much subject to five tests and further scientific advice (see here).
  • Until the Government advises otherwise, guests will only be allowed to stay at the property with additional guests from the same household.
  • Bookings for day visits (photoshoots etc) can still be made adhering to all other current Government and Airbnb guidelines.
  • At any time, Stay & Escape is able to host guests who cannot return to their main residence or home country due to Coronavirus. We can also host any elite athlete, their coach or parent (if under 18) if visiting for training purposes.
  • Stay & Escape is advising against hosting anyone considered vulnerable or high risk for the foreseeable future.
  • For general guidance, see here.
ConCierge Services

Stay & Escape will be operating a reduced ‘COVID-mindful’ concierge service.

  • Stay & Escape will be offering contactless deliveries for food and beverages.
  • Stay & Escape will be working with guests prior to their stay to ensure the home is fully stocked with basic provisions and special requests adhering to any dietary requirements.
  • We will ensure all packaging is wiped down with antibacterial wipes as deliveries are unpacked before being store.
  • Private cars are available to be booked at all times. Stay & Escape will be working only with vetted executive car services that fully adhere to COVD-safe guidelines.
  • Stay & Escape is offering virtual personal shopping appointments, via video call, whereby items can be sent via contactless courier to the property.
  • Personalised spa and grooming kits can be ordered on request (including facial kits, grooming and home spa products).
  • Stay & Escape can still offer a daily cleaning service in line with Government guidelines which recommends asymptomatic cleaners remain 2 x metres apart from guests. S&E will also ask any cleaners to wear PPE, wash hands regularly and record a temperature check before entering the property (see here).
  • Nannies are still available to be booked as long as they are non-symptomatic, according to Govt’ guidelines.  S&E will also ask any nannies to wear a mask, wash hands regularly and record a temperature check before entering the property.
  • For safety guidelines for anyone working within the home, please see here.
Other Things To Consider
  • Any person or group staying within the home should continue to follow government guidelines whilst in the home.
  • Guests will be asked to have a mandatory temperature check before entering the property (day of check in).
  • At check in, we ask that only one of your group meets with one S&E representative and we ask that you wear a face covering, as will we.
  • Properties will be stocked with hand sanitisers which guests are encourage to use frequently.
  • Guests cannot invite any other groups of people into the home, unless living together.
  • If leaving the home to visit an outside establishment, such as grocery shop, please abide by the guidelines of wearing PPE and washing hands thoroughly upon return to the home (see here).
  • No one should accept a stay in the home if they have any of the known symptoms (see here).
